Situated just fifteen minutes walk to beach (500 metres) with many beach restaurants, Villa Patate is the ideal villa for a restful holiday. On the ground floor it has a fully fitted, well-equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, cooker/hob and washing machine, microwave and dishwasher. Leads to dining room and very large lounge with Sat TV, video, dvd, stereo and wood burner. Air-conditioning throughout. Patio doors from the dining area lead on to covered terrace with large table and chairs, well established gardens with built in barbecue and swimming pool. Also a full size table tennis table. Spiral stairs on the outside lead up to many terraces, with wonderful views over sea and mountains. Also on the ground floor are a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with full bathroom and a cloakroom with WC and wash-basin. From the large hallway, stairs lead up to two double bedrooms with fully fitted wardrobes and a full bathroom. Fully air-conditioned.Internet access.
The nearby Port of Cabopino has many nice restaurants and bars and is perfect for a lazy breakfast or lunches or evening meals and is only just 20 minutes walk away There are some 20 golf courses in the area and several tennis clubs. The town of Marbella is just ten minutes drive away. There are also several restaurants close by to this villa as well as a five minute walk to a supermarket.

The nearby Port of Cabopino (about 15 min walk or 5 mins by car) has many nice restaurants and bars, golf course and lovely beaches. There are restaurants within 5 minutes walk as well as a 24 hour supermarket. 10 mins drive to Marbella. 5 mins drive to Calahonda and 20 mins drive to Puerto Banus. Nearby is the famous Don Carlos Hotel with a night club and piano bar.
There are some 20 golf courses in the area and several tennis clubs. The town of Marbella is just ten minutes drive away and airport is only 35 mins drive away. Local supermarket and restaurants just 5 minutes walk and the Cabopino Marina with many nice restaurants is just 20 minutes walk away.

The Costa del Sol is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, it's miles of beautiful sandy beaches and fantastic weather which have kept tourists flocking back year after year to resorts like Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Marbella. The Costa del Sol caters for young and old alike, offering a host of entertainment choices for the native and visitor alike. The coast boasts one of the highest concentrations of world class golf courses, to the extent that it is often dubbed "The Costa del Golf". For families there are theme parks, including water parks, go-karting, safari parks and many beautiful public gardens. For younger visitors the main areas of attraction are Benalmadena's Puerto Marina & '24 hour square' and Marbella's Puerto Banus. Both are very trendy and chic, but be warned the bars and clubs don't get busy until near midnight and stay open till dawn.
The area's history dates back to the Phoenicians and has since been inhabited by Greeks, Romans and Moors, all of whom have left their mark on the areas architecture and culture. Perhaps less well known is the areas culture, often in the shadow of its neighbour Seville, The Costa and the Malaga province are home to some of the finest Flamenco shows, bull fighting & tapas restaurants
The Marbella / Elviria area
Marbella-This thriving town rests on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a privileged location both geographically and for its climate. It is situated at only a thirty minute drive from Malaga International Airport and Malaga City itself. It is within easy reach of Ronda, Gibraltar and Antequera and only a two hour drive from important Spanish cities such as Granada, Cordoba, Cadiz and Seville. This Mediterranean wonder contains so many contrasts, such as mountains and sea, village and town, work and play. These contrasts make everyone feel at home. No-one is a stranger here. Luxury and austerity, business and pleasure, the modern and the old all walk hand-in –hand making Marbella an exceptional place. Open, cosmopolitan and awaiting your visit.
Marbella has hosted numerous world tennis, nautical and golfing tournaments. To some it is known as golfers paradise.
Many peoples main reason for coming to Marbella is to enjoy its wonderful beaches. From Cabopino to Guadalmina the coastline is a 26 kilometre cove made up of exquisite beaches of fine sand. The aforementioned marinas can be found along this marvellous stretch of coastline. They offer all types of watersports, or you can simply swim in the refreshing, cool blue water of the Mediterranean and get a suntan under the warmth of the golden sun, while enjoying the peaceful delights of sand and sea.
Puerto Banus attracts some of the most important recreational boats that visit Marbella. At the same time the port offers a large variety of shops, over 350 of which you will find open all year round.
At present there are over 40 golf courses within a forty minute drive and nearly two thirds of these are within fifteen minutes of Puerto Banus.

Malaga Airport is 6km from Malaga City and 50km (30 minutes mainly down the motorway journey by car) and a very straightforward journey to Marbella. On leaving the airport the E340 towards Marbella, which will bring you to the coast road, from there we will supply easy directions to find the accommodation. .
There are frequent flights to Malaga, by scheduled and many budget airlines from all over the UK and Marbella is only 2 hours from the Sierra Nevada Europe's most southerly ski resort and a couple of hours drive to Granada.
A car will certainly enhance your visit as there is so much to see and do, and there are plenty of local companies who can organise trips to Grenada or Gibraltar which is about 2 and a half hours drive away.
We can arrange a transfer from the airport (taxi charge is 70 euros for up to 4 people each way and minibus charge is 110 euros for 5 – 12 people each way. NB Unsocial hours –taxi 75 Euros, Minibus 150 Euros).

This villa ticked all the boxes for us. We were impressed with the spacious interior, the beautifully maintained garden and the large sunny pool. When we arrived the fridge was filled with food and drinks to last the weekend, so we didn't have to go shopping straight away. The furniture is comfortable as are the beds. Lovely fluffy towels awaited us in the bathrooms. The villa is clean and has a well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed eating outdoors where the furniture is comfortable. There are lots of comfortable recliners for soaking up the sun, and there are two terraces accessible from the garden where there are more sun chairs and a table to enjoy drinks outdoors. The local restaurants are good and some of them are very reasonably priced, especially El Cortijo in Calle Las Gaviotas. The beach is beautiful and there are lots of beach bars who serve very nice food, again at a very reasonable price. Overall, the two holidays we spent at Villa Patata were the best we've had, we really chilled out and have booked for three weeks next year. |

What a wonderful villa it is in its own established gardens with a swimming pool that catches the sun for most of the day - glorious. The villa has just been tastefully redecorated and refurnished and we all had a very relaxing, comfortable stay - absolutely everything was catered for. The bathroom and shower room are spacious as are the four bedrooms with plenty of storage space! What can I say that my family haven't said already.
Villa PATATE is a wonderful place and we all had
an absolutely outstanding holiday, from the moment
we arrived and were met by Gill and Pat, until the time
came for us to leave. Everything was organized, the
highlight is obviously the pool and credit for the
pool and garden maintenance must go to Leo, he is an
absolute gem, he was so polite and worked so hard
to help us enjoy the whole experience we hardly knew
that he was there but the pool was always clean and
in top order. Yes we will recommend you to friends
and colleagues and will certainly have no hesitation
in booking with you again.

Just back from a really relaxing holiday at Villa Patate. We were so impressed that we have already booked for next year!
This villa is in a very safe and secure location at the top of the Urbanizacion. A few trees surround the property but do not block the light as they have been trimmed back. Even though the villa is close to the dual carriageway there is little or no traffic noise.
The villa is bright, clean and spacious. The sofas and armchairs in the living area are comfortable and all the beds are large and very comfortable.
The garden is out of this world and it’s just a question of following the sun to the loungers which are cleverly placed to catch the rays all day. There are also ample shady areas if the sun becomes too much! There are also spacious sun terraces up the outside staircase.
The covered-in dining area outside is wonderful and we listened to the birdsong and watched the butterflies chase each other as we had our food and drinks.
Nearby are some good local restaurants, El Cortijo being our favourite, great food, great prices!
The supermarket is a short walk away and another bigger supermarket a short drive by car.
All in all this was a real home from home experience, a 5 star villa!
Excellent accommodation, spacious, clean and well maintained. The furnishings and personal items add to the feeling of a home from home. Outside, the plentiful shade means that one can be in the open air and not worry about getting burnt from the sun; this also helps to keep the house cooler at night. Quiet location.
All in all, a very restful villa. We chilled out for the two weeks.
