This modern 3 bedroom ground floor apartment is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday, as a base for golfers or if you are looking to explore the many treasures of the Costa del Sol.
It is located within a short distance of the local Santa Maria and Santa Clara Golf Courses, two of the many well-reputed golf courses in the area. We can put you in touch with a local company offering discounted green fees etc if you are are a golfer.
Enjoy your holiday relaxing on either of the tranquil south facing private terraces, where you can simply relax and read a book, or soak up the sun. The private and secure urbanisation is fully gated and protected by private security and 24 hour CCTV, and offers secure private underground parking with direct lift access to the property.
As the name suggests, Los Jardines de Don Carlos is set within beautiful sun-drenched sub-tropical and tranquil manicured gardens, which feature pond areas and a choice of 3 fabulous swimming pools with waterfall features to choose from, one with a social club area, all within easy access of the apartment.
The property is finished to a high standard and includes cream ivory marble floors, cream marble tiled bathrooms and fully integrated hot and cold air conditioning to keep you cool in summer and warm in winter. The kitchen is fully fitted with high standard fittings and designer named appliances, and benefits from a dishwasher, fridge and freezer, oven, hob, extractor, microwave, toaster, cooking accessories and all required crockery, cutlery and utensils. There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and clothes dryer too.
A large screen LCD TV with DVD and English SKY Satellite are installed in the apartment, along with a private secure 10mb ADSL Internet system, included in the rental cost, offering free unlimited WiFi to multiple devices. The covered terraces are fully furnished with a large outdoor round mosaic dining table with 6 chairs, for "al fresco" dining and a comfortable outdoor lounge area with a rattan sofa, chairs and a coffee table. The master bedroom features a 1.8 metre wide Queen sized storage divan bed, to ensure that you can comfortably refresh your energy and senses after every day of activity. You'll also find a TV and DVD player to enjoy some privacy along with an en-suite bathroom. There is another double bed and a further bedroom featuring two single beds, both of which share the large family bathroom.
The busy and popular village area of Elviria is a short walk away and offers great amenities including bars, restaurants, chiringuitos (fresh fish beach restaurants), supermarkets, banks, Internet access, post office, gymnasium, chemist and public transport links. The local outdoor market which operates through the year is a wonderful venue to purchase local goods ranging from locally grown fruit and vegetables to clothing, shoes, handbags, and pottery.
The 5 star Don Carlos Hotel and tennis academy and world known popular Nikki Beach are both within a short walk. This apartment is only 30 minutes drive from Málaga Airport.
The popular Costa del Sol boasts over 320 days of sunshine all year round. Beaches and golf courses in abundance, excellent local bars and restaurants, not to mention cultural pursuits - there is something for everyone.

The Costa del Sol region
The Costa de Sol boasts around 320 days of sunshine and is popular with holiday makers all year round due to the wonderful climate. It has a long summer period from June until October, when it is hot but pleasant with no humidity and no rain, ideal for beach holidays. During other seasons there is plenty of sunshine, so that you can enjoy lots of outdoor activities, such as golf and tennis.
Marbella and Puerto Banus are the playgrounds of the rich and famous, famous for shopping, fine dining and lively bars to fit all tastes. The harbour of Puerto Banus is absolutely full of luxury yachts and fast cars. The restaurants along this strip are worth a visit, although a bit pricey, but the cuisine is outstanding. Why not spend an evening taking in the local culture.
Shopping is also excellent, El Corte Ingles is a modern department store, with designer goods and essentials. This is in Puerto Banus. There is also a El Corte Ingles in Fuengirola which is a short drive away from the apartment. During the High Season Puerto Banus holds a lovely outdoor market, this is open until late and worth a visit.
When in Marbella please remember to visit Plaza de los Naranjos (Orange Square), where you will find an assortment of restaurants and bars, meander around this area to find lovely shops. Whilst in Marbella visit the Golden Mile and see for yourself how the rich and famous live. The local modern shopping centre is called La Cañada, and is located at the top of Marbella, just off the main A7. Here you can find a Marks and Spencers and other recognisable high street names from the UK.
Gibraltar is approximately 90KM drive away, worth visiting for Duty Free goods. Please check with our managing agent for the opening times if shopping in the High Street. In Gibraltar you will find a Marks & Spencer and British Home Stores, as well as many more popular High Street Chains. Perfume shops are a speciality. Morrisons is open Sunday until 5 PM and each weekday evening until 10 PM.
When visiting Gibraltar why not take the cable car to the top of the rock or a local mini-bus tour, when you arrive at the top of the famous rock you will see the apes, but be careful not to open your handbag for a snack, as they move pretty quickly and are quite happy to hitch a ride or pinch your snack!
The Sierra Nevada is famous for skiing during the Winter Season, and being located in Granada, is a nice drive from the apartment taking approximately two and a half hours.
Whilst visiting the Costa del Sol we highly recommend that you sample the local tapas, and beverages.
Seville is approximately a 3 hour drive from La Cala de Mijas and is a must-visit if at all possible. There is excellent public transport from La Cala in all directions and to everywhere you might like to visit (including Seville).
We can offer a number of interesting tours to Tangier in Morocco, Servilla, Granada etc, via local travel agents. Details on request.
Marbella and Puerto Banus are 10 minutes drive, great place for shopping and dining out. Puerto Banus is famous for its marina and upmarket shops. Marbella has old town, a typical traditional Spanish town and there is a promenade on the beachside.
Elviria's town centre, so called Square, is a short walk from the apartment, offering various restaurants and shops, a big supermarket and 24 hour open shop called OpenCor. Famous Nikki beach, Don Carlos Hotel & Alanda Hotel are within a few minutes walk. There is also the new Amizon Jungle Tree-rope adventure Park.
If you are looking for well-maintained golf courses you will find them here, the Santa Maria and Santa Clara Golf Clubs are some of the best in the area and certainly worth checking out.
