The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Local facilities The extensive Elviria beach is 5 minutes drive away. This is one of the best unspoiled Marbella beaches, family friendly with good facilities and plenty of beach restaurants. Elviria Centra Commercial (about 10 min walk from the apartment) has all the facilities required - shops, restaurants etc. and at the Santa Maria Golf Course is a tennis court and bowls centre. Near the beach is the Don Carlos 5 star hotel including Nikki's bar and the Four Seasons Country Club sports facilities.
Marbella / Elviria area
Attractions in the area The Water Park in Fuengirola is 20 min drive and it takes about 90 min to get to Gibraltar and the Costa de Luz. Marbella (with the famous orange square) and Puerto Banus (great for people and yacht watching) are about 15 and 20 min away respectively. Ronda, a really pretty town up in the hills takes about 1 1/2 hours drive. Granada, with the world famous Alhambra is about 3 hours by car and in Malaga (about 30 min) there is a Picasso museum
How to get there
Directions by road from Malaga airport Leave the exit ramp of the car Rental garage turning - One way left. IMMEDIATELY KEEP OVER TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE LANE Drive out of the Terminal and follow sign to Cadiz, N340 - E15. BP garage will be on your left. After 50 metres come to roundabout with San Miquel Brewery on right, Go straight over. (2nd Exit) Get into right hand lane and be ready to take the Slip Road in 100m Sign posted Torremolinas & Cadiz, N - 340. Join the main N - 340, Stay on this road for 3km when you will see a sign Benalmadena & Algercieras 500m. Get into Right hand Lane and join the slip road as you go past the BMW garage. Sign Benalmadena N –340 -A7-E15 LANDMARK: After approx 7 Kms on the motorway you will see signs for Benalmadena and a Cable Car going over the motorway. You are on the right road! The motorway splits, with the toll motorway to Marbella continuing straight on and N - 340 on the right (signed with a Blue Sign to Fuengirola and Algeciras) STAY RIGHT ON THE N - 340 COAST ROAD NOT THE (PEAJE) ROAD You will see the Kilometres count down towards Marbella. Elviria is 10kms from Marbella. LANDMARK: The Don Carlos Hotel can be seen ahead on your left hand side. (At night the hotel sign is vivid blue at the top) You will then pass 2 Campsa petrol stations just opposite each other. Continue for approx another 1km until sign ELVIRIA km192 marker. Take this exit, and go forward to the roundabout. Forward and take the 2nd right (1st is Commercial centre entrance) Enter tree lined Avenida Valeriano Rodriguez. Passing the rear of the Hotel Los Chapas on your right, take the next left turn. Los Jardines de Santa Maria is ahead of you, at the roundabout on your right in 50m. Enter via the right hand gate, adjacent to Security reception a FULL COPY OF THIS WILL BE EMAILD TO YOU ON YOUR BOOKING.
The first floor apartment is in Elviria (which is 10 km East of Marbella). This is a quiet area with a golf course, close to a very good sandy beach and approx 30 mins to drive from Malaga airport. Good for cheap flights with BA, easyJet, BMI Thompson, especially mid week. We use a very good local Elviria hire car company with great service call Sivi, You book in advance and a there man is waiting for you as you leave customs, he has a big sign with your name on it, we were driving away from the airport the last time in only 15 minuites from meeting him, he also spoke very good English. The above rates are based on 6 person occupancy. The rates listed include: preparation of apartment with bed linen, towels, weekly linen/towel change, electricity and water, departure clean, emergency access to local English speaking agent and a comprehensive information pack. Deposit of 10% or £100 which ever is the greater is required on booking with the balance payable 6 weeks prior to start date. A security deposit of £150 is also required - this will be forwarded to client after keys have been returned and the property has been inspected following departure. .
Arrival time : After 16:00 on Start Date. Departure time : 10:00 on Departure Date. A later check out can be arranged if availability permits.
