Home description
Our apartment is on a new complex with landscaped gardens and swimming pool. Mature cypress trees, as seen from our balcony, line the entrance to the complex.
Flights with the budget airlines are extremely affordable which makes this an ideal opportunity for a weekend away; perhaps a romantic break without the kids, a girly weekend or maybe a golfing ‘jolly’ with the boys. Take your pick, there are 60 courses to choose from! Drive inland up to the Sierra Nevadas and you could be skiing within two hours. Ski in the morning, sunbathe in the evening. We are baja (beachside) rather than alta (mountainside) - which means you don’t need to cross the main road to get to the beach! The complex also boasts a private pool with a separate baby pool close enough for your enjoyment (1 minute on foot!) but far away enough not to distract you from your sangria…available from the supermarket across the road.
Our apartment is perfectly situated in Guadalmina and the fabulous Puerto Banus is less than 5 minutes away. This is a great place to be pampered whilst ogling the celebrities on their luxury yachts as you sip a drink at one of the open air restaurants or bars. It is also famous for its exclusive shopping with several of the world’s renowned fashions houses; as well as small, interesting shops and boutiques fronting on to the Mediterranean. The beautiful city of Rhonda makes a great day out as does the Rock of Gibraltar.

The Costa del Sol/Malaga region
Colourful, sophisticated, cosmopolitan, the Costa del Sol has everything for the discerning holiday maker.
Choose between the fashionable flamboyance of Marbella, Puerto Banús, and the famous 'Golden Mile', or perhaps Sotogrande an oasis of tranquillity near one of the area's superb golf courses.
Journey inland to discover unspoilt mountainous beauty, while on the coast gleaming beaches provide breathtaking views and sporting activities.
The restaurants offer a fine mix of international cuisine and local fare. The majority of the beaches have small open-air bars & restaurants called 'chiringuitos' where you can find a selection of freshly caught fish.
All this, in a climate where the sun shines all year!
Marbella / Guadalmina San Pedro de Alcantara area
For shoppers, haute couture is interspersed with the arts and crafts of Spain. Amongst the many designer boutiques to look at you will also find the famous department store, El Corte Ingles. The local market in Puerto Banus is on a Saturday, here you will find antiques, leather goods, jewellery and more.
Nestled in the mountains is the charming, white village of Benahavis, locally known for its fabulous gastronomy and artisan feel; the restaurant Molino’s is a regular of ours!
Spain has long been famous for its numerous good wines. If you haven't tried them yet you will not be disappointed. One of the best known is the bodegas ‘Torres’ who also make a good brandy. The wines from the Rioja, Valdepeñas, Penedes or La Mancha regions are all good choices. Almost every village makes their own blend of wine. An acquired taste, but nevertheless very palatable, but be warned they are potent.

Further details outdoors: Our Apartment is in Guadalmina, one of the most exclusive areas of Marbella which is surrounded by emerald green golf courses and the sparkling blues of the Mediterranean Sea.
Guadalmina is established and has a quiet feel. Mature Cypress trees and grand villas, mostly owed by wealthy Spaniards, surround the complex. Within the complex you will find well maintained landscaped gardens, swimming pool with separate baby pool and a small children's area which will keep the 'little ones' occupied while you soak up some sun and unwind. For the golfers amongst you there are numerous golf courses to choose from along the coast.
Shopping for the essentials is easy as the local shopping centre is nearby. San Pedro, a 15 minute stroll away, is where you can find dozens of local restaurants, cafes and bars. Guadalmina is perfectly placed to explore the 'Golden Mile' coast. Choose between the fashionable flamboyance of Marbella, with Puerto Banús, a great place to be pampered whilst ogling the celebrities, is less than a 5 minute drive away. Or perhaps Sotogrande, an oasis of tranquillity near one of the area's superb golf courses. Journeys inland will take you to unspoilt mountainous beauty of Ronda. There is a water park and a Safari nearby which make great days out for families with children.

"Albert's & Ayesha's apartment in Campos de Guadalmina was absolutely fabulous, you won't find a better well equipped apartment on the Costa del sol. The furnishings, decor and spacious living area's give you a great 'welcome home' feeling every time you come back from a busy day sight seeing, or sun bathing. The apartment is well situated near the main coast road giving easy access to all the resorts from Gibraltar to Malaga, as well as the mountain area's such as Benahavis, and Rhonda. As you will see from other review's a car is essential to enjoy the many delights in the Andalusia area. Puerto Banus is only 5 minuets by car from the apartment, we spent many hour's people watching by the marina. Marbella is a 20 minute drive with easy underground car parking so don't be put off from driving to the larger towns. The apartment is within walking distance from the main shopping complex, this is situated across the busy road and is now reached by a new fly over bridge which was in the final stage of construction when we were there. This bridge will make life a lot easier for anyone in the apartment , a short walk to the bridge means direct access to the large super market, and many restaurants which open late into the night. If golf is what your after then on your doorstep is one of the coast's many excellent courses situated at the Guadalmina hotel less than 10 minutes walk from the apartment, walking through a residential area made up of expensive villa's, you can sneek a look through the fencing to see how the other half live. Next to the hotel is Albert and Ayesha's beach, a lovely sandy quiet peacfull beach where you can lie back and dream. We enjoyed our week at Al's place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a little bit of luxury in the sun." Value: Excellent , Met expectations: Exceeded them , Recommend: Definitely , Overall: Excellent

"Anybody who rents a car will be in the centre of San Pedro in 2mins, and Puerto Banus in less than 5. The owners were fantastic, confirming bookings by phone and email, the attention to detail was superb-even down to a bottle of wine waiting for us! The apartment has everything you could possibly need to ensure a hassle-free holiday, the decor is modern and the apartment is spotless. Recommended!!" "I took a short break with my sisters in March and we were all very pleased with the standard of the complex and with the information provided on the area. The apartment itself is spotlessly clean, spacious and really does have everything you could need. The owners have attended to all the small details – there was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived and water in the fridge. We went early in March (with rain forecast) and yet the weather was hot and sunny. The beaches nearby are beautiful. We walked down through pretty Guadalmina to ‘Albert and Ayesha’s beach’ which was empty apart from the three of us. You can see the coast of Africa from there on a clear day. We had hired a car and found driving and navigating around the towns and cities with our maps and very basic Spanish surprisingly easy. The Picasso Museum in Malaga (Picasso’s place of birth) and the town of Ronda were definitely highlights for me and both can be accessed by bus. We ate out a few times and found Spanish food delicious. But the best thing was being able to come ‘home’, cook a meal and relax in absolute comfort after a long day out. I will certainly be recommending ‘Albert’s place in the sun’ to my friends and hope to visit again myself with longer to explore the region." "Now where do i begin! The apartment is just as it appears on the website although in the flesh it is absolutely amazing, everything you need is there including the all important bottle opener! The swimming pool was lovely and refreshing and over our week at the apartment we probably saw no more than 2 other families by it! So if you are looking for a holiday to relax and get away from it all this is the place, on the other hand if you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a party night then Puerto Banus is only a 9 Euro taxi fare away and it is as glitzy as it comes from Aston Martin's to Million dollar yachts it has it all! A hire car is a must to get out and about and get the all important beer and wine stocked in the fridge, but San Pedro is a gentle 10 minute walk from the apartment where you will find a number of delicious restaurants by the sea front. The apartment was fantastic and the location wonderful my only regret is that I was there for one week and not two!!!!"

"The property was in excellent condition. It was a good size for four people and had all the facilities that you would require whilst on holiday. The assistant from the landlord and landlady was excellent. They exceeded their responsibilities and were very helpful. The arrival to and the departure from the apartment was hassle free, so the service was excellent. All information given prior to the stay was correct and therefore my friends and myself were perfectly happy with the holiday. The only thing that i would recommend is that you definitely hire a car as this makes travel much more convenient."

"The main bedroom with en-suite is very spacious, lots of storage/wardrobes with patio doors to the balcony which was lovely. The second bedroom had ample space again. The sofa in the living room/dining room is 'to die for' - just lovely to cuddle up on an evening. Everything you need is in the kitchen - dishwasher, washing machine, utensils and it is just perfect to dine out on the balcony. The apartment is air conditioned. With all local amenities a few minutes away (supermarket, bank restaurants, chemists) you couldn't want for much more. The pool is large and very easily accessed. We had a wondeful time and would be happy to recommend staying there to any of our friends. "
