Marbella has a lovely old town which is a pleasure to stroll through, enjoying the local shops, resturants and tapas bars. It also has good beaches and a promenade for a relaxing stroll and people watching. Local Puerto Banus marina is the place to relax in a waterfront cafe where you can see the large yachts and luxury cars of the jet set.
The religious easter week festivities are a memorable experience and the summer fiesta with andalucian horses and girls in flamenco dresses. The local markets are all year round.
There are a good selection of local golf courses - this is some of the best golfing in the world.

My husband and I stayed in the Garden Cottage at Casa Madden for nine nights. We found it very well equiped and tastefully decorated. The garden is beautifully maintained and tranquil - just what we needed for a complete rest. There is a lovely view from the balcony over the sand dunes to the sea. Jane is most welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed meeting her dad, Tony. The time passed all too quickly.
