A big thank you to Rebecca for having us back a second time in 6 months! And i dont think it will be our last time either! My husband and i honeymooned here in September 2012 and decided there would be nowhere better to come to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends. The house is stunning and very personal - nowhere near the souless places i have visited before- this is a well loved home. Its also a small touch but lovely to be welcomed with fresh flowers and a bottle of fizz! I have nothing bad to say about the house - the location is quiet and serene and you will feel at peace on the hammoc in the lovely cool garden or on the heat of the roof terrace with spectaculor views to sea and mountains. You definately need a car when here unless you are happy to get taxis around.its a 35 minute walk down to the beach and there are areas without pathements and its a good hour walk back up the hill. Definately take a trip to ronda when you visit - its stunning. Looking forward to coming back again. |

While planning an extended 4 week break in August, we were drawn to Daniel and Rebecca's house initially because of the positive reviews and the position on Marbella's high-end residential estate, Sierra Blanca. With some promptly answered emails by Rebecca, we were soon convinced. The holiday is now - unfortunately - over, but I'm glad to report that we were not disappointed with our decision to stay there! The house is set back in the Sierra Blanca residential estate within a beautiful little complex of houses where the residents are a mixture of local Spanish and Expats. We'd definitely recommend hiring a car, as the hill is a bit of walk in the heat and tricky after dark. We only did that once! (It's a five mins and 6 euros in a taxi back home.) So, if you're looking for peace and tranquillity, and a desire to be away, but not too far from the main Marbella strip, it's a perfect location. The house itself is spacious, comfortable, clean and well-equipped... Sky TV, WiFi etc. We felt instantly at home. The garden is particularly pretty with an avocado tree with a hammock underneath. From the garden you can access the roof terrace via a spiral staircase, which has incredible views of the mountains and the coast. There is a shower up there to cool down. We just missed the pool being finished, but next time, we'll be able to enjoy that too. There are three outside areas to the house and we had a little routine for each; Breakfast on the front terrace, dinner in the back garden, sometimes on the Barbie, and sunbathing on the roof terrace. One morning, whilst we were having our breakfast on the front terrace, we were joined by what looked like a woodpecker in the pine trees we overlooked! We travelled alone as a couple, but the house is ideal for a family. Particular now that the pool is completed. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and will very likely be back in the not-too-distant future! Couldn't possibly give it any less than a full five stars as it ticked every box for us. Response: So absolutely pleased that our guests were as enchanted with our house as we are! Couldn't have asked for a better review. Thank you! |

After one week of sightseeing thourout Andalusia we - a family with 23 year old daughter - definatly needed a rest - and this location was much more than this. It was not quite easy to find, but that is always like it when you are searching a "hidden gem". We were heartly welcomed and found the casa blanca (white house ,o)) in a quiet, very nice urbanisation full of flowers and plants - such as the avocado tree in "our" patio. From the street you have to go up some easy going stairs to the house, which is secured by an alarm system. And when the door opens for the first time you really have to like it. There is much light coming through the glasdoors, you can open towards the patio and the front window. You just have to lay down in the maroccian bed or enjoy the hammock outside under the avocado tree. The kitchen is perfectly equipped, everything is clean, fresh and you feel home at once. The bedrooms are in the first floor, also very friendly furnished and with good matresses. There were also towels for the bathroom provided and a hairdryer. But do not forget to bring your own beach-towels!. The master-bedroom ist equipped with A/C and fan and the other bedroom with a fan. There is enough space for your clothes. There is a nice roof -top where you can lay down, take a shower or eat and watch the surrounding - on one side the mountains on the other side between the vegetation - the sea. We never used it but there is also a TV with sky and DVD-Player and some DVD's to watch and last but not least - which was very important for our daughter - a WLAN - to chat with friends....;0)) If you like to stay there you def. need a car, because it is a little bit "outside" - but that is exactly what makes it special. So if your are looking for loud party next door this is not your location. But with a car nice places in Marbella are reachable in 5 - 10 minutes drive. We all would def. love to come back! Response: Lovely people, and we hope to find more just like you in the future. Thank you! |
