The Costa del Sol region
It is said that the breeze spends the summer in Marbella and the sun spends the winter. The climate is wonderful,
altho can be a little wet in the winter, these days. Much can be seen historically of the Moorish influence on the
Costa del Sol, Roman ruins are much in evidence. The old town of Marbella is well worth a visit, its old town
wall and little sleepy backstreets, For the more gregarious - you can party the night away in Puerto Banus until
the small hours. Gourmets and epicures cannot fail to be delighted with the wide range of restaurants and culinary styles Marbella has to offer. From tapas with the locals to 5 star gourmet delights. If you want to see some flamenco, Anna Maria's in the old town is fairly authentic and great fun. Night clubs: try Olivia Valere, The Sala, opposite Puerto Banus. Lots of choices and never dull Marbella has it all!!
The Marbella / Marbella Town area
In the unlikely event that you bore of Marbella, there is no shortage of activities and places to visit. Sporty or lazy,
something for everyone. Laze on the beach, go sightseeing in the white villages of Andalucia, go and see
the amazing gorge of El Chorro, spot the booted eagles and vultures of Estepona, go horse riding in Monda,
visit Malaga, see the incredible Alhambra in Granada, or the breathtaking view from El Tajo in the picturesque
town of Ronda. Summer is the time to check up on the concerts that are happening locally, this can be done at
El Corte Ingles, in Puerto Banus, look out for the posters if you want to see a bull fight. Dont miss the Monday
Morning market in Marbella or the Saturday morning flea market in Neuva Andalucia (opposite Puerto Banus)
bargains and souvenirs galore!!!

We stayed in Las Palmeras for one week in August/Sept 2011 and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was spacious and well-equipped. We loved the unique decor, and the views from the balcony are great. The pool is nice and quiet with a very pretty garden area. It's an easy 10-15 min walk into the centre of town, where there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars. Would definitely recommend it!
