Casa San Bernardo is set in beautiful landscaped gardens complete with outstanding water features. The villa has every modern amenity. Offering high-speed wireless internet, and air conditioning throughout, as well as central heating to keep you warm during your Christmas holidays in Marbella. On the ground floor there are two double bedrooms both with en-suites, a large airy and fully equipped kitchen and a large living/dining room for 12/14. The living/dining room has a wall mounted 50' HD Plasma TV, Blu-Ray DVD, plus 140 satellite channels. On the first floor there are a further 4 double bedrooms all with luxury en-suite bathrooms finished in Italian marble, double-ended baths, and large walk-in showers. There is a very large 20 x 12m feature pool complete with a tropical island, stunning views and underwater seating. Adjacent to the main pool is the heated Jacuzzi. There is also a table tennis table, cross-trainer and exercise bike that allows you to stay fit whilst topping up your tan.

The villa has been beautifully decorated by leading interior designers Hamilton Interiors, with very high quality furniture, hand-made works of art, sumptuous king-sized beds with luxurious Egyptian cotton sheets, extensive outdoor sofas and rattan loungers.

The villa is tastefully decorated to a high standard using Italian cream stone, authentic Spanish tiles and polished marble throughout the house. The villa offers air conditioning throughout, plus silent hand-casted fans with teak blades (for those who prefer to sleep without air-conditioning), as well as central heating should you require extra warmth in the winter months.

On the ground floor of the villa you have two double bedrooms both with en-suites, a large airy and fully equipped kitchen and a large lounge diner which comes complete with a wall mounted HD 50'' flat screen TV, DVD, Blu-Ray, Satellite TV, iPod dock and home cinema surround sound system. The dining area has seating for up to 12. From the lounge and the kitchen as well as one of the bedrooms you have direct access to a large free-form swimming pool and terrace areas, all offering you stunning panoramic views.

On the first floor there are a further 4 double bedrooms with beautiful en-suite bathrooms finished in polished marble complete with baths and large walk-in showers fitted with both wall and rain showers. From three of the bedrooms you have access to a private terrace overlooking the gardens and swimming pool, and from where you can take in the breath-taking panoramic mountain views. All bedrooms have 32" LED HD TV's with 140 satellite channels.

In addition three of the bedrooms also have private balconies giving dual aspect views. In fact all six bedrooms offer gorgeous views. The rear gardens would not be out of place in the finest boutique hotels and contain a stunning 20m pool complete with a tropical Island and underwater seating area for that ultimate long cool drink whilst admiring the stunning mountain views. Adjacent to the main pool is the heated Jacuzzi – the place to watch the sunset with a cooling cocktail.

Other features include games, videos, a Sony PlayStation 3, a table tennis table, an exercise bike and cross trainer, plus other gym/exercise equipment for those who want to stay fit while topping up their sun tan. The villa also has mountain bikes available for those who wish to enjoy 3 kilometres of enclosed private roads giving panoramic views within the estate.

In the living room is a home cinema system with surround sound system, a 50-inch HD TV, with Blu-Ray HD player, plus a normal DVD player with in-built HD up scaling. All bedrooms have 32" LED HD TV's with 140 satellite channels.

All six bedrooms are large and luxurious, with air conditioning and handmade teak ceiling fans. They have solid-wooden furniture, and are sympathetically decorated with pictures and ornaments by Hamilton Interiors. All bedrooms have dressing tables, and comfortable seating. All of the bedrooms enjoy a private balcony/terrace. All the beds have luxury memory-foam mattresses, plus we use the finest Egyptian cotton bed linen, and luxury pillows. A wonderful night's sleep is assured! Bedrooms 4 & 5 are large enough to take one of our 2 spare single beds making them easily sleep 3 in each.

All bedrooms have private en-suite bathrooms. Each bathroom is spacious and luxurious, and finished with Italian marble, and chrome towel rails, and a range of soft cotton luxury bath and hand towels. Bathrooms 1 to 5 have both large showers, containing both an overhead rain shower as well as a wall shower. They also have sunken double-ended baths for a long relaxing soak. Bathroom 6 has a large walk-in shower, but no bath as well. Bathroom 7 is a guest toilet.

The villa has a large covered terrace for outside dining. And a large professional stainless steel gas powered BBQ, operated with ease. The facilities available are all new. For example the outside furniture is the latest designer all-weather weaved rattan with highly padded cushions, ideal for spending all day by the pool.

The rear gardens would not be out of place in the finest boutique hotels and contain a stunning 20m pool complete with a tropical Island and underwater seating area for that ultimate long cool drink whilst admiring the stunning mountain views.

In addition we have two mountain bikes, but could arrange for another two given a days' notice. Further we have an exercise bike, a cross-trainer and a table tennis table

- When your booking crosses over different rental periods, we calculate the price to fairly reflect the different rental rates for each day in each period.

- If your rental period is less than 7 consecutive nights you can calculate the total price by adding the individual rates for both weeknights and weekend nights together.

- If your rental period is 7 consecutive nights or greater, the rental price is calculated by dividing the weekly rental rate by 7, and then multiplying it by the number of nights you wish to stay.

Daily housekeeping services of two hours per day is mandatory. This is required for general household cleaning. This is charged at EUR 18 per hour, from the day after your arrival up to and including the day of your departure.

Additional housekeeping services can be arranged at EUR 18 per each hour. We recommended to contract at least 4 hours per day. You will find having help greatly increases your enjoyment of your holiday at the villa. You may add from 1 to 6 hours of additional cleaning help. Our staff can help you with all tasks such as: laundry and ironing clothes, making bedrooms, washing dishes and helping you to prepare food, and serving your guests. All housekeeping charges must be agreed and paid for in advance of your rental.

At the time of the booking we take a 30% deposit to confirm your reservation. The balance plus EUR 1,000 fully refundable security and damages deposit is due 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.

Daily fresh breakfasts, lunches and dinners can be prepared by a qualified personal chef as required. Please check our concierge & villa service section or call to discuss your requirements.

Additional Sleeping Facility

The standard number of guests for our villa Casa San Bernardo is 14. If required we have the possibility to increase the number of guests to stay, by setting up extra beds within the existing rooms. The maximum we can accommodate is Casa San Bernardo is 22 guests. If you wish to increase the number guests, we charge EUR 60 (for stays of up to 4 nights) and EUR 40 (for stays longer than four days) per person per night for each additional bed above the standard number of sleeps. Exceptions to this clause are made only for infants under 24 months old at the time of travel. As an example, if you wish to increase the number of guests for our villa Casa San Bernardo to 17 for 5 nights, we will charge you for three persons at EUR 40 per person per each of the 5 nights. This covers the costs of linen and towels, linen change, washing linen & towels, electricity usage, water usage, the setting up of the addition beds, plus normal wear and tear. Baby cots are subject to availability, we charge EUR 25 for the entire stay. Please always provide us information about your guests sleeping arrangements, including how many couples, and single rooms/single bed requirements.

For larger parties please note this villa has two sister villas in the same urbanisation which can collectively accommodate up to 32 or 48 persons making it the perfect location for a wedding, corporate event or family function.

The Costa del Sol region

Costa del Sol is located in the south of Spain, in the westernmost Mediterranean area, the Costa del Sol spans 161 kilometres of coastline in Málaga Province. The area is famous for its hundreds of beaches to be enjoyed along this coast, from quiet, hidden coves to trendy stretches of sand with fashionable beach clubs populated by celebrities and beautiful people from all over the world. The Costa del Sol stretches along approx. 150km of Málaga province and is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations, with its wide sweeps of golden sand. The area's mild climate is the main attraction – visitors and residents alike can enjoy the beaches, as well as alfresco dining plus a wide variety of outdoor activities, all year round.

The Costa de Sol can be divided into two sections, with Malaga city at its centre. The eastern Costa del Sol is much shorter, stretching from the provincial capital as far as Nerja, where it meets the Costa Tropical of Granada province.

The western Costa de Sol is the section of coast which curves round southwards towards Gibraltar, and includes all the major resorts such as Fuengirola, Benalmadena and Sotogrande, plus of course, the ritzy celeb-magnet of Marbella and Puerto Banús. This section has a very international feel, with visitors and residents from all over the world.

One of the reasons why the Costa del Sol has become a world-class travel destination is the Mediterranean climate: mild all year round with an average temperature of 18º C. In the summer, temperatures rise to 25º C-30º C, whereas in winter the never go below 14º C during the day. There are hinterland areas, however, where the climate is continental and therefore marked by greater diurnal and seasonal variations in temperature.

The rainfall pattern also depends on relief. In coastal areas, the average annual rainfall is below 500 millimetres, while in interior zones it can rise to 600-800 millimetres or even over 1,000 in Serranía de Ronda, especially near Sierra de Grazalema. On the whole, the climate of Málaga Province enables visitors to come all year round. In particular, the coastal strip, sheltered from the wind by ranges of relatively high mountains, affords over 300 sunny days a year and nice temperatures in all seasons

One of the most popular pastimes on the Costa is golf – there are over 50 golf courses in the area, with stunning mountain and cliff top locations, offering spectacular views over the area’s varied landscapes, and down to the sea. The villa is ideally situation right in the heart of Spain's golfing centre. In fact the nearest golf course is less than 5 minutes away, there are 10 within 10 minutes, and within 30 minutes there are over 30 courses.

Located in the less well known area of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, between the provinces of Granada and Almeria. The Sierra Nevada ski resort is about two hours away, and is open from November to May. It contains over 100kms of ski pistes and at 3,400 metres high offers the best skiing in Spain. It is ideal to tie a few days skiing with a trip with the Alhambra Palace in Granada.

A five minute drive away is San Pedro, a typical Spanish town with unspoilt beach, lovely palm lined promenade with a variety of restaurants and a weekly market.

For the younger ones there is Selwo Nature and Adventure Park, two Aqua Parks and a Theme Park, all close by. Ronda is a 20 minute drive with its Ancient Bull Ring, Arab Baths and breath-taking gorge while Gibraltar can be reached in only 45 minutes.

Within 2 1/2 hours you can enjoy excellent snow skiing at Sierra Nevada or visit Cordoba, Seville, Morocco or Granada on a comfortable day trip. Sailing, walking, horse riding, cycling and all water sports are also available close by. This location will not fail to impress even those with the most discerning tastes, please book early to avoid disappointment!

Marbella

Casa San Bernardo is located on one of the premier private suburbs of the Costa del Sol, the ultra-exclusive El Madroñal, with 24-hour gated access. This location is less than ten minutes’ drive from the dazzling night-life, restaurants and marina of Puerto Banús and cosmopolitan Marbella with its quaint old town, picturesque orange square and designer shops.

The charming town of San Pedro de Alcántara with over 200 cafés and restaurants, fine sandy beaches and seafront promenade is just 5 minutes away.
