The Andalucia region

La Mairena is the perfect location on the Costa del Sol for every holiday-maker. Being only 10km from Marbella with all it's fantastic restaurants and night life and traditional Old Town attractions as well as it's world famous neighbour of Puerto Banus renowned as the place for serious shopping and people watching.
There is a commercial centre in Elviria which is just a short walk away and has everything you need including several banks, supermarkets, shops and a vast choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. There are also several taxi ranks and buses stops to take you in either direction along the coast. The extensive Elviria Beach is 7 mins drive away and is one of the best Marbella beaches, ideal for families or couples with plenty of facilities including jet skiing and kite boarding. The world famous Nikki Beach adjoined to the 5 star Don Carlos hotel can also be found a few minutes away
For those that prefer a more sporty holiday we are surrounded by high quality golf courses, La Cala & Santa Maria are two superb golf courses only a few minutes away from the apartment and there are another 21 excellent courses within 30 mins drive. El Soto Golf club is only 1km with free access to its 9 hole pitch and putt course, gymnasium, sauna, jacuzzi tennis court and paddle court

Visited during winter with two young childen (1 & 3), the weather wasn't fanastic, but warmer than the UK and we were able to enjoy a couple of walks along the nearby beach. The apartment was beautiful, would be great in summer to enjoy the outside area and pool I'm sure. Was easy to find from Malaga airport, and the journey up the hill from the main road wasn't too bad (approx 7 minutes). There was a cot for our youngest which was one of the main reasons I had looked at this apartment. Wifi is available in the golf club, but we didn't visit there, so that would be the only slight negative of the apartment. We did watch a lot of UK TV. We visited Ronda, Marbella and Granada easily in day trips (Granada slightly pushing it with two young children, but the roads were fairly quiet). All-in-all, a fantastic apartment, would definitely recommend and consider visiting again if I was in the area.

"Amazing Scenery!! great modern Apartment !!"
I stayed here with a large group of adults, we had a great time staying in this apartment it had everything we needed. The terrace was beautiful with lovely views of the mountains and coast. The apartment had modern furnishings and was very clean and open. I would strongly advise hiring a car for the stay as it would be difficult to get around by foot, there is also the added value of driving along the mountains which was delightful.

"Beuatiful homely modern apartment with excellent outdoor space but let down by location"
Hi all, Just back from 2 weeks in Casa Leon. I was travelling with a 5 month old baby and a 5 year old. This needs to be taken into consideration as I feel this may have impacted on our impression of the area. The standard of accommodation was excellent and the facilities within the apartment were of a high standard. The beds were very comfortable and it was a bonus to have two bathrooms both with showers. We enjoyed the wide range of English TV channels at night and my 5 year old was delighted with the kids channels. The outdoor space was amazing with great views, there was building work going on but this had no impact as there was little or no noise. The cot provided was excellent with a good mattress and bedding. I really would like to give this property a higher rating but it was let down by location. We spent far too much time in the car going up and down the winding roads. Pls bear in mind with young children it’s not as simple as getting into the car so this adds even more time to the journey. There are lots of apartments in the surrounding area but the whole area was like a ghost town. We were the only people in our block and it lacked that holiday atmosphere for us bearing in mind was high season during our stay. This might be a positive for some but for us it was just too quiet. There was no shop in the immediate area so you had to drive back down to Elviria although we did notice there had been a shop but it had closed down. The apartment was good value for money but I would rather have spent more in order to be closer to beach, shops and restaurants and people. The owner is a lovely helpful man who went out of his way to store my baby milk prior to arrival. I really want to love Casa Leon it's a lovely property but it’s location just did not suit our needs as a family.

"Beautiful apartment in beautiful setting"
Our family rented the apartment for a week in April; we had a wonderful stay. The apartment is beautifully decorated, exactly as you see in the photographs and spotlessly clean. The terraces are vast, with quality outdoor furniture including sofas, sunbeds, dining table and chairs. We spent most of our time on the terraces, the views were beautiful; woods, the sea and the mountains. The apartment has a gas barbecue which was great and very effective. There are only 8 apartments in the block sharing a good size pool in lovely gardens, which made the apartment feel very exclusive. You get free access to E Soto club with the apartment; El Soto is a par 3 course with paddle and tennis courts. My husband and sons played daily and I would walk to meet them to enjoy a G&T on the terraces of El Soto, which were lovely. I would highly recommend the apartments, you will need a car as restaurants and shops are within driving distance. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday if a beautiful location Casa Leon is for you.
