About this location
The Andalucia region
This is probably one of the best beaches in Marbella. It streches for 11 kms from Marbella Fishing Port to the marina at Cabopino Harbour. Golden sandy beaches are great for long walks and safe for the kids to play.
Marbella is without doubt the glamour capital of the Costa del Sol. This unique Spanish town with its mix of old world charm and architecture has an alluring cosmopolitan culture and chic style, setting it apart from other coastal resorts. It is little wonder that it captivates so many visitors, many of whom decide to settle or buy a second property here.
Most are attracted by its wonderful year-round climate, impressive infrastructure, over 22 kms of beaches, mountain backdrops to-die-for and championship golf courses.
Time never stands still in this dynamic town as it drives ahead with its ambitious plans to redevelop the fishing port into a luxury marina and hotel complex starting in 2014. Further improvements to infrastructure continue with the doubling in capacity of Malaga airport, new transport links and the new extension of the Hospital Costa del Sol nearing completion.
It is easy to see why Marbella offers something to suit everyone. Lose yourself in In the historic “Old Town” with its tiny shops, tapas bars and restaurants tucked away inside a labyrinth of narrowly paved streets.
Alternatively, take in the sea air with a stroll along the new Paseo Marítimo walkway linking the town with Puerto Banus. From early morning there is a hive of activity as the “Marbellis” take in their daily exercise or enjoy breakfast in the fashionable beachside “chiringuitos”.
By night the beach in El Rosario comes alive with families bustling for tables in the busy restaurants. A firm favourite is trendy Bonos Beach with its hip decor or head for the newly-opened South Beach for romantic cocktails at sunset. Further along the beach you can choose between The Beach House known for its fine dining or the outrageous champagne parties at the chic Nikki Beach.
