The West Country region
Marazion is a beautiful small town with great beaches and of course St. Michaels Mount. The climate is milder than the rest of England and there are a profusion of palm trees growing. The causeway leading to St. Michael's Mount is visible at low tide and there is a regular ferry service which takes visitors to the Mount when the tide is high. Marazion is conveniently placed to visit other wonderful places in West Cornwall such as Lands End, Penzance, St Ives, Falmouth and Minack Theatre. For those not wanting to drive there is a regular bus service to all these places some of which would necessitate a change of bus.
Marazion is great for windsurfing, hiking and cycling. Marazion marshes offer pleasant walks (restricted paths) and is a mecca for bird watchers. The beaches are clean and the water clear and safe for swimmers.
