Mara Enkipai is situated in the Heart of the Masai Mara. The Masai Mara game reserve, voted 7th Wonder of the world is famous for its wonderful wildebeest migration, and is considered one of the best location to experience the ultimate safari experience.
The home of Jacqueline Roumeguere Eberhardt who lived more than 40 years amongst the Maasai people. A magical heaven surrounded by wildlife.
Mara Enkipai is a Heaven of Peace & Tranquility, the meeting point of elephants, hippos & leopards, it is in a unique location on the edge of the Mara river. A unique natural & magical setting to immerse & refresh yourself whilst enjoying the true safari experience of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve.
A domain of 45 acres of beautiful nature and river rapids, comprising of little islands & hippo pools.
The house comprises of 4 bedrooms, each with a double bed, a living & dining area. A beautiful outside living room has been set by the river for the ones wanting to relax in early afternoons with a good book.
Mara Enkipai was the home of Jacqueline Roumeguere Eberhardt, who lived amongst the Masai for more than 40 years. It is a true opportunity to live a unique cultural exchange with the Masai way of life.
The Mara Enkipai team comprises of a guide, cook, housekeeper & nanny to make your stay most pleasant at all times.
There are plenty of activities to do from Mara Enkipai from early morning & late afternoon game drives into the reserve, visits to the Masai villages, going on safari walks with Joseph who is an expert in birds & flora, having traditional Masai feasts or enjoying an early morning balloon flight with champagne breakfast!

The Masai Mara region
Well known for it's famous wildebeest migration, one of the top wildlife viewing destinations in the world, it is where the famous BBC Big Cat Diary is filmed. The climate is moderate with warm days and cool nights. The Mara is at it's best during July to Jan when the migration is in from the serengeti. The Mara benefits from at least three different ecosystems which makes it unique in terms of fauna and flaura, it is home to over 350 different species of birds. The Mara river is also home to numerous hippos and crocodiles.

The Kichwa Tembo area is within the Mara conservancy, from there you have access to the three main regions which form the mara conservation areas, each has it's own management and park entry fees.
Activities: You can do a number of activities from game drives, game walks, cultural experiences, hot air ballooning, and day fishing excursions to lake victoria. The Mara is a top destination for anyone with a passion for photography. The Highlight of the year is the arrival of the great migration which has been quoted as one of the new seven wonders of the world.
How to get there
Maasai Mara is situated to the Ouest of Kenya's Capital City Nairobi. Many International Airlines fly to Nairobi twice daily (KLM, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Kenya Airways amongst many others). The flight from Europe to Nairobi is approximately 8 hours. The best flights to take are the night flights which make you arrive early morning in Kenya without losing a day of your holidays.
Once in Nairobi, there are several flights a day to the Masai Mara from Wilson Airport which takes approximately 1 Hour. You will need to get off the plane at 'Kitchwa Tembo' airstrip. The house is 15 minutes drive from the airstrip.

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the owner's discretion. All above costs include a car (catering for 6 people) with an excellent private guide for your game drives, an excellent chef, housekeeper, and nanny.
