Villa Ombu is a luxury two storey detached 3 bedroom/3 bathroom fully air conditioned villa for 6 people (plus 2 infants). This pretty south facing villa with large private swimming pool (Size - 7m x 4m & depth 1.0 - 1.6m) and kids' section (fenced) boasts a lovely lawn and gardens is situated near the 5th fairway in a quiet location overlooking garden fountains to the front and views over the fairway and distant mountain views to the back. It is centrally located in the prestigious 5 star Mar Menor Intercontinental Hotel & Golf Resort.
The resort also has a nine-hole golf course (being extended to 18-holes), the 5 star Intercontinental Hotel & Spa, on-site supermarket, range of restaurants and bars, a luxury spa, gym, tennis court and communal resort pool. The resort is the first of seven new Polaris World Golf Resorts being built in the Murcia area.

Ideal for holiday rentals, the local area offers plenty of sandy beaches and is ideal for watersports enthusiasts. Local sports include fishing, sailing, windsurfing and swimming. Other activities included cycling and horse riding. Mar Menor's beach is also ideal for families as the water is calm, warm and shallow. Walking is also popular along the beach promenade.

The local town (Los Alcazares) which is a 10 minute drive offers plenty of supermarkets, banks, souvenir shops, bars, pizzerias and restaurants and tapas restaurants. Guests are also approx. 1 hours' drive from Terra Mitica Theme Park in Benidorm and many other waterparks in the Alicante area including Aqualandia. Approx. 30 minutes' drive from Torre Vieja Aquopolis (waterpark open between 8th June to 31st August.
Mar Menor Golf Resort / Polaris World nr Los Alcazares area
The exclusive Mar Menor golf resort is gated, offering privacy and seclusion. In addition there is 24 hour security presence and entrance control. The tree lined boulevards leading the visitor around the resort are wide, crossing through numerous green areas with shrubbery and trees which in turn surround the beautiful par 35, 9 hole golf course, which is soon to become an 18 hole course. In this resort, with its magnificently designed gardens, you can enjoy the abundance of the flowerbeds, palms and orange trees and their aroma. The design and style of the villas blend in perfectly with the natural environment and reflect the architectural character of the south-east of Spain.
At the heart of the resort is the 5 star Intercontinental Hotel which is only a 5 minute walk away, offering superb facilities to all residents on the resort, including high class restaurants, piano bar, spa, massage & beauty salon, hairdressers, medical centre, gym, a large community pool, complete with children's pool and jacuzzi. The terrace restaurants offer a large choice of local and international cuisine. The social club also offers regular evening entertainment. An excellent tennis court facility (on the roof) and table tennis is also available. There is also an excellent mini supermarket with local produce and wines and a bank with cash machine.
An even wider selection of local bars, including tapas, restaurants and shops are outside the resort, with the local town of Torre Pacheco and beaches of Los Alcazares a short drive away together with plenty of opportunity for sightseeing.
The resort is located within 15-20mins drive of San Javier airport close to the towns of Torre Pacheco and Los Alcazares in the Murcia region of Costa Calida. The cities of Cartegna and Murcia are within 20mins and 40mins by road respectively, with an additional local rail network at Torre Pacheco to these cities.
The beach resort of Los Alcazares is located within a 10mins drive, where there is an abundance of activities, including a marina, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving and cycling with many bars, restaurants and markets.

Further details indoors: It is beautifully designed and furnished to a high standard, light, airy and is very comfortable. There is air conditioning throughout, together with ceiling fans in all rooms, and centrally heated for the cooler months.
The villa has a fully equipped kitchen/dining room including dishwasher, and a separate utility room having washer/dryer & ample storage.
The spacious lounge is comfortably furnished and has satellite TV, DVD and CD players. Patio doors lead onto the large private terrace & garden offering alfresco dining.
The entrance hall with shower room off, has a sweeping staircase with iron balustrade up to the second floor. There is a large landing area with a French door leading out onto one of the two sun terraces with lovely views.
There are three bedrooms, two of which have twin beds and fitted wardrobes sharing a large shower room fully tiled in Italian marble with w/c and wash basin. The luxury and spacious master bedroom has a French door leading onto the private sun terrace with views of the golf course and distant mountains. It also benefits from a dressing area with large fitted wardrobes leading to the fully marble tiled en-suite bathroom with shower over bath.
The villa includes an internal telephone system available for free calls & hotel services within the resort complex which can also accept national & international calls. The villa is furnished and equipped to ensure both families and golfers have an enjoyable and relaxing holiday.
Further details outdoors: Outside, the villa also offers dining furniture, sun loungers and portable barbecue so guests may dine alfresco. The large pool is gated so ideal for the safety of small children, and includes a separate shallow area, in-built steps, lighting and poolside shower. The villa also has a covered parking area and drive.

A high chair and cot can be provided on request, starting from £20 each a week. Additional children's accessories such as stair gates and car seats are also available to hire on request.
A welcome pack for Sunday and late arrivals can also be arranged on request, please ask for details.
All bookings are subject to a £75 cleaning/laundry fee. Towels and linen are included. If a cleaner is required during your stay this can be arranged and is payable locally. Please note: towels are for villa use only, guests should bring their own beach towels.
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds. £100 non refundable deposit, per week is required to hold the property. Full payment should be made eight weeks before arrival.
Weekend and shorter golf breaks are welcome at our nightly rate (depending on season) plus a standard cleaning fee. These may not be available during the busy summer season and are limited to 2 – 4 night stays.
Check-in is at 4pm on the day of arrival and check-out is at 11am on the day of departure. Late checkout can be requested at an additional charge but is subject to availability.
No single sex groups under 21 are allowed. All non UK bookings are subject to a £15 bank transfer fee.
Please note: Mar Menor is a 9-hole golf resort which is currently being extended to an 18-hole golf resort with additional apartments, there is building work outside the resort perimeter.
In addition, a separate £200 security deposit is required when booking. Please note: your security deposit is fully refundable, providing there is no damage during your stay.
