Mar Menor Golf Resort / Polaris World nr Los Alcazares area
The Mar Menor Golf Resort is located on the Costa Calida, 253KM of stunning Mediterranean coast and one of the most beautiful regions of Spain. Whilst the villa is situated on an exclusive 9 hole championship golf course (soon to be 18) designed by Dave Thomas, it is set in a quiet cul de sac far enough away from the 6th tee not to be in the flight path of stray golf balls, or overlooked by passing golfers.
The course itself is open to residents and guests and if you get bored with this course, there is an opportunity to play various other golf courses in the area, at one of the seven major complexes, including the famous La Manga Club (15 minutes by car).
From the villa there is a short walk to the “Centre” where the residents’ social club can be found with its communal and children’s pool, restaurant, piano bar, hairdresser, medical centre, gym and supermarket. The resort also boasts its own 5* hotel.
Mar Menor Golf is a private complex with 24-hour security. Entry is for residents and their guests and visitors to the hotel only, which makes for very light traffic. The environment is quiet, safe, one might even say lazy.
Glorious sandy beaches are easily reached by car (5Km) and they are the region’s top attraction. The Mar Menor (Minor Sea) is the largest salt-water lagoon in Europe, where the local beaches have achieved the Q award for quality and cleanliness.

The golf resort is only 10 minutes from San Javier Airport, or 50 minutes from Alicante Airport.

Further details outdoors: The villa features its own private pool, with ground and first floor sun terraces. The garden to the rear of the villa, where the pool is situated, faces due south and in the summer is bathed in sunshine from dawn till dusk.
The rear garden is fenced for privacy and as a precaution against wandering toddlers from adjacent properties taking an unplanned swim in the pool. Properties on either side are far enough away so as not to be intrusive and there are no buildings at all to the rear.
