How to get there
The apartment can be reached easily by the Metro line 1, Thissio Station, which is at a distance of 3 min. walk on the pedestrian road in front of the Ancient Agora. Taxi can also reach the building in case you have heavy luggage.
In the interior of the building an impressive old marble-made staircase leads you to the first floor and a narrower 10-step metal staircase leads you to the rooftop studio.
Getting around
The location is ideal for visiting Athens. Most of Athens’ major sights, as the Acropolis, Acropolis museum, the Ancient Agora, the famous Flea market (Monastiraki), the lively “Plaka” and “Gkazi” neighbourhoods of the old city center, as well as ‘Syntagma’ and ‘Omonoia’ squares - the real centre of the modern city - are within walking distance. The vivid pedestrian road in front of the house has lovely cafes and restaurants with openair tables below large tents and olive trees all year round and makes absolutely safe to go around until late at night. The metro station “Thissio” is at 5 minute walk from the house and may take you to every region of the city, as well as to the Airport and Piraeus port.
