By train: 85 minutes from Glasgow Central, 30 minutes from Dumfries. Sanquhar main line railway station is 15 minutes walking from Euchan Bridge Cottage (local taxi service available), with conexions everyday with Glasgow-Barrhead-Kimarnock-Dumfries-Carlisle-Newcastle.
