How to get there
From Totnes take the A381 towards Kingsbridge. Continue through Harbertonford and then through Halwell. At Totnes Cross BP petrol station turn left onto the A3122 towards Dartmouth. At Forces Cross (Airheads Hair Salon) turn right, following the first sign for Blackawton, there is also a brown sign with The George inn listed. At the T junction turn right onto Main Street. Continue on this road and you will see The George Inn on your left opposite St. Micheal's Church. Poppy Cottage is the cottage on the left immediately before The George Inn.

Getting around
Blackawton is a remote country village with no public transport routes. There is a public bus route on the A3122 from Woodlands Leisure Park. The West Dart bus travels from the village to Dartmouth every Friday, Totnes every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month, Newton Abbot the last Wednesday of the month - this has to be booked. Dartmouth and Totnes have various taxi firms, numbers can be found in the property. There are many footpaths around Blackawton. Blackawton is on the national cycle network route for keen cyclists.
