How to get there
Some 30 minutes south of Bristol and 9 miles from the International Airport, Axbridge neighbours Cheddar - world renowned for its Gorge and cheese - on the sunny side of the Mendip Hills just inside the Somerset boundary.
PARKING & ACCESS:
The Old Angel is located in the middle of a village Square. All car parking is FREE: in the Square, or in two car parks literally around the corner. Some with a daytime restriction .
To unload/receive supermarket deliveries etc: you can literally pull up directly outside the front door of the house.
Getting around
Axbridge itself has 2 good food-serving pubs and charming tearoom. There's a great variety of restaurants, cafe's and eateries throughout the area: from great fish & chips to Michelin rated inns. Not to mention those famous cream teas, Farmers' Markets, cider tasting farms & character rural pubs!
