The closest airport to Lacombe is in Carcassonne, a half hour drive away. Toulouse Blagnac airport is about 80 km from the house. There are a number of budget airlines that fly to either Carcassonne or Toulouse from various European and UK airports, including:

By road:
If you come by car, take the ferry to Calais. A wonderful way to get into the holiday mood is to drive down. The trip to Carcassonne is about 1050 km, a 9 to 10 hour drive, which takes you through some of the most beautiful parts of France. The French motorway is excellent, but if you have the time, stop overnight half way through your journey, in the Limoges area.
