How to get there
To get to Faro airport you can use a number of budget airlines including EasyJet. from a number of UK airports. Alternatively, you could fly to Lisbon and catch the train to the Loule. Taxi fare from the airport is approx €35 for 4 people. I can supply a transfer service for this price for 4 people or €45 for 5-8 people. (This is each way) There is car hire at Faro airport or in Vilamoura. The drive is approx 25-30 minutes from Faro airport.

Getting around
Getting around Vilamoura, a car is not necessary however makes it easier if you have small children to carry all the things you will need. There are tourist cycles which you can pay for. Walking is by far the easiest way of getting around however if you are at the marina however a cab back (between €5-€10) is a preferred option.
