How to get there
Unless you are driving in from France or via the ferry(UK) then the two main airports are Alicante and Valencia.
Both are around 85k or one hours drive to the Villa.
The movement through the airports tends to be quick ,and I use Carjet to book the car as long as the hirer has an office in the main terminal. Its possible for the car hirer to go and get the car whilst the rest of the group collect the bags.This saves a lot of time and usually means you can be on your way quite quickly.
Most airlines will fly to Alicante from most UK airports. Valencia is also useful but has less service.
I would say most airlines have similar prices and a complex structure now Easyjet has joined the add on culture, but its still a lot cheaper to book early with whichever company.

Getting around
Local village with shops restaurants is Gata. Old Town Javea is for historic centre with plenty of shops markets and Tapas bars The Port of Javea has shops promenade and restaurants as well as fresh fish. Javea the Arenal is the beachfront, sandy bay with bars restaurants great views and nightlife. All will need a car or taxi......not unreasonable, but usually leave cars and pick up next day in one spare etc
