The island of Bequia can be reached from several Caribbean gateways. The most popular are Barbados and St. Lucia. Other possible gateways include Martinique, Grenada, Puerto Rico, and Trinidad. Barbados provides more daily connecting flights to Bequia and St. Vincent than any other gateway airport.

From the UK, Europe or North America, you might find it easiest to take a direct or connecting flight to Barbados or St. Lucia, and then a connection by air for the short hop to Bequia. Flights to Bequia are made with SVG Air, part of the Grenadine Air Alliance. Alternatively, you can fly onward from Barbados to St. Vincent with LIAT. Flights are less than 45 minutes. From St. Vincent it is only an hour’s ferry ride to Bequia.

Another convenient gateway from North America is San Juan, Puerto Rico. LIAT operates flights via St Lucia and Antigua to St Vincent. Once again, it is only an hour’s ferry ride to Bequia.

From most points of departure in the USA and Europe, you won’t have a problem getting to and from Bequia in one travel day. When booking your flights, please remember that you must arrive in St. Lucia or Barbados before 4p.m. as night landings are not permitted at the Bequia airport.
