How to get there
From Fort William or the A82, take the A830 signposted to Mallaig.
Cross the Banavie swing bridge over the Caledonian Canal and take the immediate right (B8004) entering Banavie.
Pass the Moorings Hotel on your right and continue on this road for 2.2 miles passing the sign for Muirshearlich. Acorn Cottage is a further two minute drive and is signposted on your left along with Oak Lodge and Torbeag House.
Turn up the drive for 30 metres and Oak Lodge is the first property on your right with Acorn Cottage situated just behind. Keys are available from Oak Lodge from 4pm onwards.
Do not go through the gate on the drive which leads to Torbeag House.

Getting around
As we are about 6 miles away from the centre of Fort William, a car is essential. Acorn Cottage is a rural destination, so personal transport is a must to do the area justice, allowing you to explore off the beaten track and visit the nearby attractions. There are bus routes to Inverness, Skye & Oban and train links to Glasgow & Mallaig, all accessed from the bus/train station in Fort William.
