How to get there

In total there are six routes to the Isle of Wight, which are run by three different operators providing frequent crossings across the Solent. If you are unsure as to which route to choose, then please contact Wight Island Escapes, when we would be only too pleased to recommend the best route for you.

The first route is run by Red Funnel who operate a car/passenger ferry service between Southampton and East Cowes. They also operate a 'High Speed' passenger ferry service between Southampton and West Cowes (www.redfunnel.co.uk).

The second operator is Wightlink. They run car/passenger ferry services between Lymington and Yarmouth, Portsmouth and Fishbourne together with a passenger ferry service between Portsmouth and Ryde (www.wightlink.co.uk).

The final operator is Hovertravel who run high speed passenger hovercrafts between Southsea and Ryde (www.hovertravel.co.uk).
