Getting around
Using your car your car is the most convenient way to discover the region. Most of the interesting places are a few minutes away by car. Disneyland Paris is approx. 1 hour away by car (East side of Paris). If you wish to organize a one-day trip to Paris, we strongly advise you to use public transportation (regional train then metro/bus within Paris). Closest train station: Fontainebleau-Avon (line R of the Transilien train) at 15 kilometers of the gite. Direct train to central Paris in 40 minutes ("Gare de Lyon" station). You can park your car (daily fee) at the station. Buy a "Mobilis" ticket (zones 1 to 5): it is a 24-hour unlimited ticket for all trains, metros and buses in the Greater Paris area (except CDG airport).
