Barbados is well served by direct flights from the UK and America. If not hiring a car, then a taxi from the airport to the Villa will be required. Whether to hire a car or not depends on how much time you want to spend exploring the island. The great thing about the Villas position, is that a hire car is not essential. Much is within walking distance (beaches, bars, restaurants, shops) and so it may be best to limit your expenditure by just hiring a car for a couple of days - to get out and about - or by using the odd taxi - or for the young at heart the cheap and cheerful Z Vans to get around the island.
