How to get there

Fly in to Lisbon airport from all European and International destinations. The state airline is TAP and is very good. British Airways and EasyJet, Ryan Air, etc, along with various other airlines, also fly to Lisbon.

HOW TO REACH COSTA DA CAPARICA FROM THE AIRPORT

The apartment is located on Avenida General Humberto Delgado, directly on the sea front.

Taxi: The quickest way to Costa de Caparica is to get a taxi from the official taxi rank at the airport. It is regulated and monitored by the police. By law normal taxis only take a maximum of 4 passengers, unless you get an extra large taxi that takes over 4 people. The trip takes between 20- 40 minutes depending on the traffic.

By AeroBus/Boat/Bus – You must take a AeroBus (line 1) to Cais do Sodré (final stop of the line), then take a Ferry to Cacilhas and finally buses 135 or 124 to Costa da Caparica. The trip takes between 90 and 120 minutes (very approximately).

Note: Cais do Sodré can be reached from the airport on the subway also.

By Bus/Train/Bus – You can take buses 783 and 744 to Estação Entrecampos, then take a train of Fertagus company to Pragal station and finally a bus to Costa da Caparica (line 124). The trip takes between 90 and 120 minutes (very approximately).

Directions from Lisbon: By car - cross the 25 de Abril bridge southwards; the first exit on the right is well signalled and will lead you straight to the town. To return through the same bridge, you will have to pay a toll . By train - no direct train; when in Lisbon, in the Entrecampos area, you may catch a train that will take you across the bridge to Pragal / Almada. There, you will need to take a bus from the station to Caparica. By bus - buses to Caparica depart daily from Praça de Espanha and Praça do Areeiro in Lisbon.

Get around

If you feel like a break from the beaches and surfing, Lisbon is less than half an hour away. By car, just cross the 25 de Abril bridge into Lisbon. Buses take you to Alcantara and Praça de Espanha (153 bus) or to Areeiro (161 bus). You can combine the bus and the ferry (from Cacilhas or Trafaria) to get Lisbon. There are also several rent-a-bike places in Caparica. You can cycle to the ferry in Cacilhas or Trafaria ( about a 30 minute cycle), and board the ferry to Lisbon, where cycling is ideal to get around.
