The cottage is located at YO30 1AY on High Moor Lane, a 5 mile long country road (parallel with the A19) joining the villages of Shipton & Tollerton
The Owl Barn Cottage is on the right hand side of this road approximately half way between the 2 villages (2.5 miles) from Shipton, and about 200 yards after a turn off to Newton On Ouse. The cottage is accessed down a long drive with a very small wooden name sign on the fence at the road end reading “The Owl Barn”. In the dark there is a luminous red circle road sign located high in the tree at the drive end. If you see a farm sign for Ember Hill on the other side of the road you have gone past us!!
Follow the drive around to the rear of the property where you will see “The Owl Barn Cottage”. Please park on the concrete area at the foot of the access ramp.

Getting around
The Cottage is 2 miles from any public transport whatsoever, which in itself is a fairly limited rural service. The cottage however is in a perfect location for York Park & Ride service a circa 5-10 minute drive away as well as being convenient for Harrogate or the North Yorkshire coast.
