How to get there

Directions for getting to LUCIVANA (the name of the property seen next to the entrance)

when leaving the airport take the left (Dubrovnik is right)

after you have passed the INA petrol station on your left, take the third turn right marked

• following that road you will pass through the villages of Cilipi and Komaji

• when the road sign tells you you’re in Popovici, you’ll soon see a couple of houses on both sides of the road; carry on straight ahead until the first available turn right (not counting approach roads to individual houses)

• you will note the signpost to 'Klaic Winery' at an oval roundabout in front of a small abandoned building with an Info Point table on it: turn right there and in a few yards you’ll reach a small junction, where the road bends left

• follow the left bend and go straight ahead (not towards a cluster of houses) towards a small ruin on the left side of the road: turn sharply left behind it, and you’re in front of the gate to the house.

Welcome to Lucivana.

Nearest food shopping facilities:

Getting your basic supplies on arrival:

Exiting the airport, turn right towards Dubrovnik; after approx. 500 m you will see a PEMO supermarket located on the opposite side of the road.

This is the best supplied food and general store in the area.

When going food shopping from the house, you can turn right at the main road junction and follow that road uphill to RADOVCICI , then downhill to GRUDA (cca 4 kms), where you will find several food shops, bakeries, bars, post office, bank, pharmacy etc. It's closer than the PEMO mentioned above.

Getting around

Eating out in Konavle & Cavtat The most popular places closer to the house are Konavoski Dvori, Monkovic and Koraceva Kuca. Cavtat is a place for a swim, or to see the sights, (in early evening a walk around the promontory offers wonderful panoramic views of Dubrovnik and the resorts around the large open bay...) or for an evening meal. The restaurants are all within a couple of hundred yards from each other: from KOLONA at the very entrance to the waterfront, to LEUT (the best and the most expensive) to BUGENVILA (innovative & fusion cuisine) to GALIJA under the pines by the Franciscan church.
