By air, the most practical way to get there is by catching a flight to Turin (100 km) in Italy and taking a transfer straight to the resort or hiring a car. Flights are available direct from Gatwick (British Airways), Luton (Easyjet) and Stansted (Ryanair). There are also services from Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt and other major European cities. You can connect with the resort via hire car or airport transfer services. Alternatively, fly to any of the other airports in the area, Chambery (165 km) , Lyon (200 km) , Grenoble (155 km) and then transfer to the resort within two to two and a half hours.

By car, Serre Chevalier is accessible from the north by taking the A26 from Calais or the A6 from Paris south towards Lyon. Before Lyon take the A46 towards Grenoble then the A43, the A48 to Grenoble and finally the RN91 towards Briancon. Once over the Col du Lautaret pass through Monetier, then Villeneuve and Chantemerle is the next village.

Alternatively (and when coming from Chambery direction) continue along the A43 through the Frejus Tunnel (toll), exit at Oulx, Montgenevre SS24 and follow directions to Montgenevre then Briancon. At Briancon take the N91 in the direction of Grenoble.

From Turin airport take the Tangentiale towards Savona and Frejus and then the A32 motorway towards Frejus and exit at Oulx, Montgenevre SS24 and then as above.

By train, you can catch the overnight service from Paris direct to Briancon station, located just six kilometres from the resort, arriving at 08:30 (10 hrs 30 mins). There is a regular bus service from the station to Chantemerle. Alternatively, catch the high-speed TGV train from Paris to Grenoble and transfer by coach for a six-hour journey. To reach Paris, catch the Eurostar service from London Waterloo or Ashford in Kent (four hours).High speed TGV trains also run from Paris to Oulx(Italy) with a transfer by coach to the resort. The journey time is approx 5 hours.
