Within 3 miles you are in the department of Gironde (the wine area of Bordeaux) and in less than 20 minutes driving, you're in the Dordogne. The surroundings of Savignac de Duras have lots to offer. The hilly countryside will remind you of Tuscany. Duras is 2 miles away with it's famous castle. The castle, weekly market, friendly bars and restaurants are well worth visiting. Bordeaux and Bergerac are place's not to be missed. Bordeaux is a very impressive city with its fine buildings, restaurants and shops. Bergerac has a beautiful ancient centre. A nice trip along the Dordogne river visiting Domme, La Roque-Gageac, Monpazier it's all possible! The area is rich with "Bastide" villages, such as Eymet, Monségur and Monpazier.
