Malaga airport is approximately a 30 minute drive away (30km). Car hire is available at the airport. If you are not hiring a car you can get the train from the airport to Fuengirola for a reasonable price. The train journey takes about 40 minutes as it makes many stops. The bus station in Fuengirola is very near the train station and a bus will stop close to the community. It is advised, that if taking the train, you take a taxi to the apartment.
