If travelling up from the South on the M74, take the M8 all the way through Glasgow, following signs for Glasgow Airport. As you approach Junction 28 (The Airport), stay in the centre lanes marked Erskine Bridge and Greenock. At J30 , follow the M898 to Erskine Bridge, not the M8 to Greenock. Once over the bridge, follow the A82 north to Crianlarich and Tyndrum, then the A85 to Oban. Alternatively, and of equal time, take the A83 (Where the road splits at Tarbet on the A82) to Inverary. There, turn right at the archway onto the A819 to Dalmally/Oban. At the T junction, turn left onto the A85 to Oban. Take a pit stop at Hamilton before reaching Glasgow for petrol/toilets. After crossing the Bridge, the next available petrol/toilets will be at Milton, just before Dumbarton on the A82. Once you have crossed the Erskine Bridge, you have another 21/2 to 3 hours drive to Easdale. Directions to Easdale/Ellenabeich Easdale is 16 miles south of Oban. Take the A85 to Oban, then the A816 south for 8 miles, then right onto the B844 for a further 8 miles to Easdale and the Isle of Seil. Ellenabeich is at the end of the road right by the sea. .
