How to get there

Access from the airport:

Should you wish, I can arrange collection from the airport subject to driver availability. The fee is €40 and €55 for larger vehicles. Our driver will meet you in arrivals. If you choose this option, please send me your flight no, and departure airport plus arrival time.

If you wish to use public transport from the Airport, the quickest way is to take the Airlink 748 to Heuston Station and transfer to the Luas (red line), (direction Tallaght), get off at the Blackhorse stop and turn right down Tyrconnell Road, we are the first house on the left after the Church, no 68. This journey takes about 50 minutes.

The bus and Luas will cost approx €8 per person (€6 for the bus and €2 for the Luas). You can purchase a leap card that you can use on the bus and Luas. See link for Dublin Bus http://www.dublinbus.ie/Fares--Tickets/Leapcard/

You can purchase the leap card at a number of outlets in the airport http://www.dublinbus.ie/Fares--Tickets/Leapcard/

The 3 day tourist pass will cover airport transfers also.

Driving directions from Airport:

At roundabout take the 2nd exit, and then join the M1 motorway (signposted Dublin) M50.Leave

the M1 at junction 1 (Junction with M50) then take left-hand lanes, then join the M50 motorway (signposted Other Routes, Southbound)

At Junction 6 continue forward onto the M50 toll motorway (signposted Southbound - (eFlow - barrier-free tolling system)

Leave the M50 at junction 7 (signs for Palmerstown/City Centre). Drive through Palmerstown and at 5th set of traffic lights, (J63) take a right (keep in left lane when turning) and take an immediate left (J62 sign for Inchicore), take the first right at the Hilton Hotel, follow the

road onto Grattan Crescent and straight on to Tyrconnell Road.

Continue up Tyrconnell Road, you will come to a pedestrian traffic light (hair salon and beauty salon on left). Just before these lights, make a right turn (Tyrconnell Park), and an immediate left up a narrow lane. You will

come to steel gates at the end of the lane which will admit you to the yard at the rear for parking.

Getting around

Public Transport options I would suggest that you use the bus for the quickest way to access the city centre (with the exception of rush hour traffic), particularly if travelling via Guinness Brewery, Christchurch Cathedral, Temple Bar and the Grafton Street area. The bus stop is just outside the door for the 13 bus and the bus travels every 15 minutes. Alternatively, you can walk down Tyrconnell Road and take a right at the Black Lion pub onto Emmet Road. You can avail of the 40 bus as well as the 13 from this stop. The 40 bus travels every 10 minutes. The Luas (Dublin tram system) stop is at the Black Horse stop and the Luas will bring you via Heuston Station, The Museum, Jameson Distillery and on into Abbey St. (adjacent to O’Connell St.
