How to get to Malin Head:
From Dublin, take the M1 Motorway towards Belfast, turning on to the N33 at the signpost for Ardee, which is about 65km from Dublin. From Ardee roundabout follow the N2 to Derry. On arrival at Derry (also called Londonderry), follow the roadway towards Limavaddy and the Airport until you reach Caw roundabout, which is about 2.5 km from Derry.

Turn left across the high bridge over the Foyle and at the roundabout on the far side of the bridge turn sharply to the right signposted for Moville. Continue on towards Moville for about 13 km, turning left for Carndonagh at Quigley's Point. Go straight through the village of Carndonagh and continue on to the village of Malin.

Turn left in Malin and follow the signs for Malin Head. When you get to the Crossroads Inn take the 'Y' junction to the left. Continue on this road for about one kilometre and at the first four-road crossing turn very sharply to the left by a house and follow this laneway until it turns right just at the sea. Continue on to the end of this laneway and you will see the sign “Gort na Cúile” on the corner of our house. Total distance is about 180 miles – 288 km. See map on next page.

From Derry Airport: on leaving the airport turn right. This will lead you on towards the Caw roundabout, about 8 km away, where you will take the road on the extreme right, which takes you across the high bridge over the Foyle and at the roundabout on the far side of the bridge turn sharply to the right. Continue on the roadway towards Moville for about 13km but turn left for Carndonagh at Quigley's Point. Go straight through Carndonagh and continue on to the village of Malin. Turn left in Malin and follow the signs for Malin Head. When you get to the Crossroads Inn take the 'Y' junction to the left. Continue on this road for about one kilometre and at the first four-road crossing turn very sharply to the left in by a house and follow this laneway until it turns right just at the sea.
