How to get there

The Island is well served by frequent buses and access to Moelfre is perfectly feasible from either Bangor station or Holyhead Port.

Generally those travelling by car will be on the A5 or the A55. In either case take the A5 over the Britannia Bridge (over the Menai Strait) ... BE CAREFUL ...TAKE THE 2ND TURNING OFF ... at the top of the slip road turn right heading towards Amlwch on the A5025 go straight over the roundabout. Head through the villages of Pentraeth and Benllech and when you come to the roundabout, about 1 mile after Benllech, turn right and head down the hill into the village of Moelfre. At the bottom of the hill you come into "the square" (no it is not square!) keep over to the right and head between the houses (i.e. straight on) and down the hill ... The Kinmel Arms will be on your left and the beach will be on your right. Go alongside the beach and head up the hill, veering to the left and immediately infront of you you will see the owners gift shop, "Twm Pen Stryd", 4th property up on the left hand side and painted terracotta pink. Park wherever you can and if open come into the shop and if closed come down the side of the building and ring the bell.
