From Surrey or London:

Take M3 southbound to the A303 just past Basingstoke and then head all the way (Sparkford Services we think is about half-way) through Blackdown Hills to M5 then A38 to Salcombe, Kingsbridge and Totnes exit. From Totnes take the road all the way to Kingsbridge. From Kingsbridge follow the signs to Salcombe/West Alvington (you are only minutes away!). Upon arrival into West Alvington you will drive past the Ring O'Bells Inn on your left hand side, passing a number of parked cars, take the first left down on to Lower Street. Follow the road down until it forks into two roads, keep to the very left and you will pass a property called South Field on your left hand side, keep going and Pearl River cottage is one of the terraced cottages (cream coloured) on the left hand side. There is a hanging basket outside the front door.
