How to get there

The M1 J29 north or southbound is handily placed for easy access into the Peak District, heading west into the National Park via Chesterfield. The M6 J17 north or southbound, exiting towards Congleton before heading east, onto Buxton, is also a good access road.

The main railway stations that serve the Peak District are Buxton, Matlock, Chesterfield and Hope. The best station for accessibility to Millers Dale is Buxton and a 15 minute taxi ride from the station. Alternatively a train to Chesterfield and a bus to Millers Dale would take about 45 minutes. The trans peak bus runs from Matlock to Buxton and passes within a mile of Millers Dale.
