Vasto is 50 minutes by road from Pescara airport, which has flights from England, France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Norway and the Netherlands and also from other parts of Italy. Taxi's may be hired both at the airport and in Vasto. I can arrange a taxi transfer from Pescara airport in advance on request. The cost of this is approx €80 one way. Car hire is also available from Pescara airport from Hertz , Europcar, Avis, Maggiore, Auto Europa, Sixt and Budget Targarent .The drive from the airport is easy once on the Autostada SS16, just one long straight road until you reach the Vasto Nord turnoff which takes you straight into Vasto. Car hire is also available here in Vasto after arrival should you decide to explore further afield. International flights which arrive in either Rome Fiumicino or Rome Ciampino are within easy reach of Vasto. Air conditioned coaches run several times a day from Rome Tiburtina to the coach station in Vasto which is walking distance from the apartment in around 3 hours. I can supply more information on this after booking along with a timetable if requested. Vasto-San Salvo station is only 10 minutes by bus from the town, and has regular trains to Pescara Centrale, one of the biggest train stations in Italy, with connections to most other parts of Itay. The ferry port of Termoli is only 25 minutes from Vasto, with ferries daily to the Tremiti Islands.
