How to get there
The nearest airport is Geneva which is 75km away and takes around 90 mins to drive or transfer. It is possible to take a train from Geneva to Thonon Les Bains.
At the chalet there is driveway parking for two cars with additional free parking 1 minute away in Abondance. There is a petrol station and two electric charging points in the village.
Getting around
Whilst a car is not necessary, it will offer full flexibility for exploring the Abondance valley and surrounding valleys in full. If you value travel by public transport, there is a good bus service up and down the Abondance valley between Thonon les Bains and Chatel. Buses pass through Abondance in both directions at least hourly between 6am and 7pm. From Thonon you can link to Geneva by train or bus, to Evian and Annemass by bus and to Lausanne by Ferry. From Lausanne, Geneva and Annemass you can link to many European destinations by train.
