How to get there
Stara Moravica is half-way between Belgrade and Budapest. If you hire a car at Belgrade airport, it will take just under two hours to arrive at the house. We can make suggestions of places to stop for a meal en route. The drive from Budapest airport is about 2 hours provided there is no delay at the border crossing. Apart from Friday evening, the delay in our experience is 5-30 minutes. We do not recommend this journey on a Friday evening.
If you travel by train or bus, you will go to Backa Topola. Backa Topola is 16km away. There is an infrequent bus connection to Stara Moravica, so unless you arrive at exactly the right time you will take a taxi, which costs about €10. All Budapest-Belgrade trains stop at Backa Topola. Backa Topola has very frequent bus connections to Subotica, Novi Sad and Belgrade.

Getting around
The land around Stara Moravica is agricultural and flat. We provide 7 bicylces and details of cycling routes. We also provide a canoe for guests to take on the nearby lakes. To travel further in Serbia or to the nearby attractions in Hungary and Croatia, a car is certainly the most convenient (and essential for Croatia). There are good bus connections from Backa Topola. There is a limited bus service between Stara Moravica and Backa Topola, and if the timetable does not suit it is easy to take a taxi, or - if you are feeling fit - cycle.
