How to get there
If on a budget the bus or tram from the airport can save money. Take the tram to the last stop at St Andrews Square and then take the bus to St Patrick Square. Within 60m of the front door are buses ($2.50) to all over Edinburgh including Waverley Station, Kings College Campus (Edinburgh University) and the University Hospitals (Royal Infirmary and Western General).

Getting around
Edinburgh is a small city so walking is almost always a option. The local buses are excellent and run to all parts of the city from just outside the door. A day ticket will cost less than $6.
