How to get there

Don’t consider yourself lost at any point. We show you how you can easily get here by road or rail.

Our holiday home is located near the edge of Glyncorrwg village a few miles north of Maesteg town.

By Road – Just 13 miles from the M4

Leave the M4 at Junction 36 and follow the A4063 towards Maesteg. After you have passed Llangynwyd village, look for the B4282 on the right and follow this road through Garth. Keep straight on and you will rejoin the A4063 just the other side of Maesteg town centre. Follow this road through Dyffryn, Caerau and Croeserw. At the bottom of the hill after Croeserw, go straight on at the crossroads towards Glyncorrwg. See more detailed directions here.

Alternatively – Coming From The West – or Traveling at Peak Times.

Or if you just prefer not to drive through built-up areas. Leave the M4 at Junction 40 and follow the A4107 towards Cwmafan and Cymmer. In Cymmer, you will take a left hand turn signposted Glyncorrwg.

Once You Reach Glyncorrwg Village

Stay on the same road and pass through lower Cymmer and into open country, pass the ponds on your left and eventually you will be on Cymmer Road. At the 90 degree left-hand bend, you go straight on into Bryn Road. Mathew Street is the 2nd left. There is plenty of road side parking in this and neighbouring streets.

By Rail

Take a mainline train to Cardiff Central station. From Cardiff there are regular connections to Maesteg – the closest station to the house.

By Bus

There are regular buses from Maesteg to the village – you will need to take a short (3 minute) walk each end. Buses run at the weekends but times and route numbers vary so please see the search tool here. Another option is to take the train to Port Talbot and then board a bus to Glyncorrwg – in some cases, this may be quicker.

By Taxi

Local taxis are available if bus timings do not suit.

Getting Bikes From The Rail Station.

Of the taxis, we asked, the following are happy to transport bikes; (coming soon). However, if all else fails, ring us and if we are free we can get you and your bikes from the train to the house in our van. There will naturally be a charge for this.
