How to get there

EasyJet have flights to Inverness from Gatwick, Luton and Bristol and Flybe have flights from Gatwick, Birmingham, Belfast, Manchester and Amsterdam. Loganair operate flights from Stornoway, Kirkwall and Sumburgh.

The airport is approximately 6 miles east of Inverness and there are various hire car companies based in and around the terminal.

Follow the signs to Inverness which will take you along the A96. Continue along the A96 for about 5 miles, go over the first roundabout then go over the Tescos roundabout and at the next large roundabout at the A9 take the first exit on to the A9 south towards Perth. Follow this road for approx 5 miles until you see a turning on the right signposted Fort Augustus B851. Follow this road for approx 17 miles through Inverarnie, Farr, Croachy, Errogie and then into Gorthleck.

When you enter Gorthleck you will see Stratherrick Primary School on the right hand side, about 200 yards further on you will see a road on the right with various house names including Samhach. Follow this road to the top of the hill until you come to a house with a gate called Mandalay. Just after this house take a sharp right turn and Samhach 100 yards on the left. This journey takes you through some stunning landscape and countryside and will take approximately 45mins-1 hour to drive and is 31 miles in total.

Follow the signs to the A9 and head south towards Perth. Follow this road for approx 5 miles until you see a turning on the right signposted Fort Augustus B851. Follow this road for approx 17 miles through Inverarnie, Farr, Croachy, Errogie and then into Gorthleck.
