How to get there
Kalkan's nearest airport is Dalaman (1.5 hrs away) then Antalya (c 3 hrs away)
Dalaman is served by a number of charter & low cost airline operators. Airlines' summer flight schedules typically start at the end of March, and finish in the middle of November. We have found that the best source for all flights is www.skyscanner.net. If you prefer to look at individual airlines, then the most popular choices are generally Thomas Cook, Thomson, Monarch, Easyjet, and Pegasus. Out of season, and also when flight prices are at their height, it is sometimes worth looking at flying to Dalaman/Antalya via Istanbul (there are scheduled flights to both Dalaman and Antalya from Istanbul every day of the year.

Getting around
Within Kalkan itself there is often no need for transport. However, taxis are cheap and readily available or hire cars can be booked. In the surrounding area, there are good transport links to local towns and villages via bus or minibus (dolmus). To visit the many sites of attraction near to Kalkan such as Saklikent Gorge, Patara Ruins & beach, Tlos, Kekova, Myra, Xanthos and the Greek island of Meis- many local tour companies offer daily tours to these sites or car hire is reasonably priced.
