Aberdour is easily reached by public transport or by car.From Edinburgh: Take the M90 across the Forth Road Bridge. Take exit 1 and follow the signs for Kirkcaldy, past Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay. Then follow signs to Aberdour. Drive through Aberdour, past the Woodside Hotel, Aberdour Hotel, the Station, the turn-off for Silversands Beach. Turn left immediately after the Purple Shop, into Murrell Road. Take first left and sharp left again into Murrell Terrace. Go to the bottom of Murrell Terrace, up the lane just at the back of the Purple Shop. Past bins to the back of the building. Access to Number 2 is on the first floor, blue door on the left There is a key safe to the left of the door.

From Perth: Take the M90 heading towards the Forth Road Bridge. Take exit 1 and follow the directions as above.

From Edinburgh airport: Take the 747 airport bus to Inverkeithing station. From there you can take the train to Aberdour.There is an excellent train service to Aberdour.
