How to get there

ARRIVING BY AEROPLANE

• BRUSSELS NATIONAL AIRPORT (Zaventem)

A taxi will take you in 15 minutes to the apartment when there is no traffic. In rush hour, it can take half an hour or more. Count 55 euros.

With public transport, you will have two options: take a train (easier) or take a bus (cheaper). Both are more or less as fast.

- take the train to Brussels Central station (7,80 euros). There you can take a metro.

- Take the Airport Line bus. Get off at the last stop: Schumann. There you can take a metro using the same ticket (purchased outside the vehicle in the vending machine 4 euros, purchased inside the bus 6 euros).

• BRUSSELS SOUTH AIRPORT (Charleroi)

- take the Brussels City Shuttle bus (13 euros for a single ticket, 22 euros for a return ticket) to Brussels Midi train station.

- in Brussels Midi train station: take the metro

ARRIVING BY TRAIN

International trains (Eurostar, TGV…) and the bus from Brussels South Airport (Charleroi) will arrive in Brussels MIDI. There you can take the metro.

If you arrive by train from Brussels National Airport (Zaventem) or from Holland, it's easiest to get off in Brussels CENTRAL STATION, where you can take the metro.

ARRIVING BY METRO

A ticket for 10 journeys costs 13,50 euros. You can use it for different people on different days.

A ticket for 1 journey costs 2 euros.

• from Brussels CENTRAL STATION (GARE CENTRAL) (if you come by train from Brussels International Airport or by train from Antwerp or the Netherlands)

- Take metro line 1 (direction GARE DE L'OUEST) or 5 (direction ERASME). It's the same platform for both lines.

- Get off after 3 stops at COMTE DE FLANDRE.

- Take exit PORTE DE FLANDRE/CANAL.

- When u get out of the metrostation, you will see a red building with wooden and aluminium coating on your left. The apartment is at number 10.

- Ring the bell 'Hans Steurs'.

• From BRUSSELS SCHUMANN (if you took the Airport Express Bus in Brussels National Airport) (you can use the same ticket that you used for the bus)

- Take metro line 1 (direction GARE DE L'OUEST) or 5 (direction ERASME). It's the same platform for both lines.

- Get off after 7 stops at COMTE DE FLANDRE.

- Take exit PORTE DE FLANDRE/CANAL.

- When u get out of the metrostation, you will see a red building with wooden and aluminium coating on your left. The apartment is at number 10.

- Ring the bell 'Hans Steurs'.

• from Brussels MIDI train station (if you come by train from Brussels South Airport or by Eurostar or TGV from France or the UK)

- Take metro line 2 (direction SIMONIS/LEOPOLD II) or 6 (direction ROI BAUDOUIN.

- After 4 stops, get off at BEEKKANT. There you change lines:

- Take line 1 (direction STOKKEL) or 5 (direction HERMANN DEBROUX), both lines are on the same platform.

- Get off after 2 stops at COMTE DE FLANDRE.

- Take exit VLAAMSEPOORT/KANAAL.

- When you get out of the metrostation, you will see a red building with wooden and aluminium coating on your left. The apartement is at number 10.

- Ring the bell 'Hans Steurs'.

ARRIVING BY CAR / TAXI

If you arrive by car or taxi, ask your gps or taxi driver to take you to QUAI DES CHARBONNAGES 28, MOLENBEEK-SAINT-JEAN.

The apartment is at Rue Sainte-Marie 10 in Molenbeek, but this is a pedestrian area where cars are not allowed.

If you put Quai des Charbonnages 28 in your gps, you will find the canal on your left hand side and a little square with the entrance to the metro on your right hand side. This square is called Rue Sainte-Marie, you will find the apartment at n° 10. Ring the bell 'Hans Steurs'.

A taxi to and from Brussels National Airport will cost about 55 euros, to and from one of the train stations wil cost about 10 euros.
