How to get there

Just 30 minutes' drive from the heart of Edinburgh, Crosswoodhill is very rural but very accessible. 18 miles along the A70, just 10 miles from Edinburgh City boundary. The A70 is a very scenic road with the Pentland Hills skyline opening out as soon as you leave Edinburgh. A car is highly recommended, almost essential, to maximise the enjoyment of your stay at Crosswoodhill Farm and allow you to explore large areas of Scotland from this wonderful, quiet, relaxing location with free, easy parking right, out of sight, but right beside your door. Nearest railway station is 6 miles away at West Calder on the Edinburgh to Glasgow ( via Shotts ) train line. No public transport to our door, but there is a subsidised hourly taxi-bus service from Crosswoodhill to West Calder and return. I would advise checking out the best car hire companies price-wise with a Google search.
