How to get there
Nearest airports: Liverpool, Blackpool, Manchester
Nearest railway station: Oxenholme near Kendal. Also Lancaster (25 mins).
By Road: M6, junction 35, then A6 to Heversham (10 mins).
The location is easy to find, and only about 10 minutes drive once you have left the motorway. Leave the M6 at junction 35. Take the first exit and follow the dual carriageway, signposted Morecambe / Carnforth for about 1 mile. You will come to another roundabout, take the 2nd exit and follow the A6 to Milnthorpe. This road goes all the way to Heversham. You will come to Milnthorpe first, after about 7 miles. At the traffic lights go straight on and the turning to Heversham is less than a mile on the right hand side.
Once you have taken the Heversham turning Olde Blue Bell Cottages are less than half a mile. Go past the school on the right, round a sharp bend (do not turn off) past the church, and take the next left by the children’s play park, Heversham Gardens. Almost immediately, the road bends, pull off at this corner by the big oak tree and park your car at the end wall. You are now outside Olde Blue Bell Cottages

Getting around
There is a bus that runs through the village to take you all the way through the centre of the Lake District. 1st stop Kendal, last stop Keswick, with stops at Windermere, Ambleside and Grasmere on route. Arnside train station is just 5 miles from the cottage, providing access to south Lakes or Lancaster, Morecambe and beyond. Oxenholme is the station on the main line from Manchester to Scotland, and is situated on the outskirts of Kendal. There are also a number of local taxis. The cottage is located in the village of Heversham, and only 10 minutes from junction 35 on the M6. It's very easy to find by car, and full directions will be sent with your booking confirmation. If you are travelling by train, Oxenholme is the main line station
