How to get there

Capbreton is easily accessed by air from the UK, Ireland and France, as well as other parts of Europe, through Biarritz (20/30 minutes), Bordeaux (11/2 hours), Pau, Toulouse and Santander/Bilbao. Ryanair flies in and out from London Stanstead daily, and from Dublin 3 times weekly (five times in summer). In Summer from the third week in July, Easyjet also flies from London Gatwick to Biarritz. You can reach it by ferry from the UK and Ireland to France (Roscoff, Cherbourg, Caen and St Malo, La Rochelle) and Spain (Santander and Bilbao): then motorway all the way -four hours from Santandaer in Spain with Brittany Ferries and four hours from La Rochelle. Also accessible from Roscoff and Cherbourg - 7 hours on motorway. It is also well served by road (A 63 motorway) and rail routes. This makes Capbreton very accessible and suitable for shorter as well as longer breaks, especially in the Autumn/Winter/Spring seasons. All the major car hire companies operate at Biarritz airport. Getting around

You can take the local RDTL bus services from Capbreton to many local towns in the area including Bayonne and Biarritz. It is very good value of only a couple of Euro. From Bayonne you can take the TGV fast train to Bordeaux, Toulouse, Paris and other train services to a variety of locations in the Aquitaine and along the South West Coast of France.
